Reporting to the team leader, the florist contributes to bringing the PRUNE Les Fleurs signature to life by creating high-quality floral arrangements and delivering an exceptional customer experience. He or she actively participates in the smooth operation of the boutique while ensuring compliance with PRUNE Les Fleurs standards.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE POSITION

  • Part-time position of 20 to 27 hours per week, spread over 3 to 4 days.
  •  A weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday) is required.
  • Additional weekday availability is an asset.
  • Occasional shifts in our other boutiques may be required depending on needs.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creating floral arrangements is second nature to you.

  • Ensure that wrapped and vase bouquets meet the image and standards of Prune Les Fleurs.
  •  Create wrapped and vase bouquets for orders, in-store customers, à la carte weddings, events, and funerals.
  • Participate in customized weddings involving floral installations.
  • Work in an open environment, directly in contact with customers.
  • Handle flowers and plants with care to maximize their quality and lifespan.

Providing an exceptional customer experience comes naturally to you.

  • Assist and advise customers on floral arrangements, plants, and accessories.
  • Provide customers with appropriate information on plant care.
  • Show diplomacy and kindness toward clients with sensitive needs (bereavement, weddings, births, etc.).

You enjoy receiving and caring for beautiful flowers and plants.

  • Ensure quality and quantity control of received flowers and plants.
  • Properly hydrate freshly cut flowers.
  • Care for, water, and maintain plants daily.
  • Present cut flowers in the cooler and plants in an efficient and aesthetically pleasing way according to merchandising guidelines.

You help highlight our selection of accessories.

  • Participate in receiving, quality control, and merchandising of accessories and other goods. 
  • Assist the coordinator in presenting accessories according to PRUNE Les Fleurs standards.
  • Help maintain strong visual merchandising standards in the boutique. Keeping a clean workspace comes naturally to you.
  • Ensure workspaces and equipment are clean and safe. Clean the flower cooler twice per week.

You understand that being a florist means doing a bit of everything.

  • Participate in administrative tasks: cash register transactions (sales, credits, inventory checks, price changes), weekly reports, email writing. 
  • Assist in preparing store inventories twice a year.
  • Maintain proper weekly inventory management (perishable and non-perishable items).
  • Perform regular store cleaning and maintenance. 
  • Participate in creating content for social media.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience as a florist and in customer service.
  • A floral design diploma is an asset.
  • English proficiency is an asset.
  • Experience with cash registers and Moneris is an asset.
